You will be taken on an unusual discovery from the Rockies to the heights of Colorado through the wonders of Montana and the magical landscapes of Utah.
Day 1 – France – Rapid City (South Dakota) Arrival and welcome by your English speaking guide and transfer by bus Grand Touring, air conditioning in the hotel Rapid City was founded in 1874 after the discovery of gold in the Black Hills, Indians, inhabitants of the region were then ignored and their territory was torn. Day 2 – Rapid City – Crazy Horse Monument – Mount Rushmore – Rapid City This morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Crazy Horse Monument, carved into the mountain after the draft Korczak Ziolkowski, a student of the famous sculptor Borglum who created the Presidents of Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse a Sioux warrior of the clan Oglala Lakota, riding The memorial consists of a monumental sculpture made on the mountain, and an Indian Museum. The final dimensions of the sculpture will be 195 m in length to 172 m in height. The head of Crazy Horse will measure 27 meters high, in comparison, the heads of the four presidents of the United States represented on Mount Rushmore are 18 m high. The realization of the monument began in 1948 and it is still far from complete. Once finished, it will be the largest sculpture in the world. After lunch at the cafeteria of Crazy Horse, we will continue our journey towards Mt Rushmore and discover the heads of Presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and Theodore Roosevelt, one of the symbols of American democracy, carved in the granite rock at an altitude of 1800 meters. Day 3 – Rapid City – Devil’s Tower – Sheridan (Wyoming) After breakfast we depart towards Rapid City Black Hills of Wyoming. Arrival at Devil’s Tower, visible from tens of kilometers, the volcanic cone stands his strange figure at 300 meters above the ForkRiver, according to the mythology, the hero, Sweet Medicine gave the Cheyenne 4 sacred arrows and a hunting bison to go to war, and the site remains a sacred place for Indian tribes in the region. Day 4 – Sheridan – Cody Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Cody. This trip will allow us to admire the beautiful scenery of vast plains, canyons and gorges. Cody, a city founded in 1901 to 1,835 meters above sea level on the plateau of the Shoshone River, it owes its fame to Buffalo Bill – whose real name was William E. Cody – claiming the friendship of the Indians, while he called for a fight ! His rodeo, and shows were known around the world. Lunch: Restaurant Cody. Visit Buffalo Bill Historical Center which includes 4 museums: the Buffalo Bill Museum – Winchester Arms Museum – the Whitney Gallery of Western Art and Museums Plain Indians. Visit the IrmaHotel in downtown, opened in 1902 by Buffalo Bill, cost a whopping 80,000 Dollars, the cherry wood bar was presented by Queen Victoria. Diner: Restaurant of Hotel Irma. Day 5 – Cody – Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming and Montana) Breakfast at hotel and departure towards Yellowstone National Park – the first national park of the United States – but also the largest, located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains offers spectacular scenery.Discover Mammoth Hot Sprint with its splendid terraces concretions. – Terrace Loop Road can approach are terraces where the play of colors is impressive. Day 6 – Yellowstone National Park Breakfast at the hotel. Day dedicated to the discovery of Yellowstone National Park Geyser Country – the most famous of all is certainly the Old Faithful Geyser which with punctuality rarely put in default, propels its fountain wrapped in thick clouds of steam and foam for 4 minutes at a height of 35-52 meters. – Upper Geyser Basin covers an area of about 10 km on which more than 70 spring geysers and many hot springs. Day 7 – Yellowstone – Grand TetonNational Park – Jackson Hole (Wyoming) Breakfast at hotel and departure towards Grand TetonNational Park, this national park offers at first glance a dazzling landscape. A chain of mountains, Teton, arises from a glacial valley at the bottom of the Snake River which winds discovered by French Canadian trappers, in the early 19th century in search of beavers, they named it the Great Teton granite peaks. Lunch on the road. Day 8 – Jackson – Salt Lake City (Utah) Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Salt Lake City, It is a surprisingly quiet city. Founded in 1847 by Brigham Young, Salt Lake City is the religious center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Mormons share this city with low wages and provided security. Lunch: on the road. Day 9 – Salt Lake City – Bryce Canyon National Park (Utah) Breakfast at hotel and departure for the discovery of one of the most beautiful parks in the USA, Bryce Canyon National Park. Arrival in Bryce City for lunch, explore the National Park. Its beauty arises abruptly at the edge of the forest, it’s a whole city of stones that stands in a vast amphitheater. Day 10 – Bryce Canyon National Park – Grand Canyon National Park – Page (Arizona) Breakfast at hotel and departure for the discovery of the Grand Canyon National Park. With unusual beauty, the Grand Canyon National Park will dazzle you with its hills, plateaus, and its pitons baptized to honor Indians tribes – Pima – Hopi – Yavapai - Lunch in the cafeteria of the Grand Canyon. After lunch departure towards Page, one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Far West with its turquoise waters bathed in rocks and white sands. Stop at Carl Hayden Visitor Center admire the magnificent model of the dam. Crossing the bridge over the Colorado River. Arrival in the city of Page. Short walk to the discovery of Horseshoe Bend, a meander of the Colorado River, a magnificent spectacle. Diner: Restaurant Page with western songs. Day 11 – Page – St George – Las Vegas Breakfast at the hotel and visit in JeepAntelopeCanyon, located on Navajo Reserve and sacred to the Indians, this deep canyon is one of the wonders of Arizona. Its red sandstone walls, sculptural curves modeled by the wind and rain with light wells drilled in the rock in sublime colors. Drive to St George, town created by the Mormons, where Brigham Young spent his winters because the climate was warmer than Salt Lake City. Lunch: St George Buffet Continuation of the road to get into the wildest city in the United States: Las Vegas. A city where everything sounds wrong but, thanks to its glitter and lights, attracts visitors like moths from around the world. Originally the village of Las Vegas received its first visitors in the gold rush and became part of the State of Nevada in 1905. Legalized gambling in 1931 in the state of Nevada has given a boost to the city and Las Vegas has continued to grow at a very fast pace. The thousand beauties of the city, its 320 days of annual sunshine and vibrant nightlife make it irresistible. Diner on your own.
