NEW MEXICO CALIFORNIA  

Day 1 - France – Albuquerque – Santa Fe (New Mexico)

Arrival at the Albuquerque airport, welcome by English speaking guide.

New Mexico, nicknamed the “Land of Enchantment”, draws a square crossed by the Rio Grande and offers extraordinary landscapes. The sun shines all year round and the ground is covered with snow in winter. Bus transfer Grand Tourism, air conditioning towards Santa Fe.

The city, beautifully situated at the foot of high mountains, mixing more than the other Hispanic American cultures, Indian and Anglo.

Depending on your arrival time, you can settle into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

The streets are sometimes narrow and winding, the houses are low for most, largely built of adobe.

Spaniards who discovered the site of Santa Fe in 1542, found there a populous Indian pueblo. The current city was founded in 1609 by Don Pedro Peralta, the Spanish governor of New Mexico who made it the capital of the province. Santa Fe then acquired as central to the mission Indian, of some importance.

Day 2 – Santa Fe – Mesa Verde – Cortez (Colorado)

Breakfast at the hotel and visit the city of Santa Fe – Governor’s Palace, built from 1610 to 1614 is the oldest public building of the United States – the large rectangular Plaza is the heart of the city – St Francis Cathedral is a cathedral Catholic built between 1869 and 1884 - Loretto Chapel with inside the “Miraculous staircase”, a spiral staircase without nails or support, by an unknown carpenter.

Departure for Santa Clara Pueblo Espanola, north of the Rio Grande Valley, this small town was founded 700 years ago by the Indians and taken by the Spaniards in the 16th century.

Continue on to Pagosa Springs.

Lunch: Pagosa Springs Restaurant

Then visit Mesa Verde National Park, established by Congress in 1906. Its name is due to the typical shape of the

Park, with walls of craggy rocks and flat tops as tables. Mesa Verde is an important prehistoric Indian site diggers Anasazi cliff, who abandoned their habitats is due to the hostility of neighboring tribes or following a major drought.

Arrival in Cortez, founded in 1886 to provide housing for workers in the construction of tunnels and irrigation ditches necessary diversion of water from the Dolores River to irrigate lands of Montezuma Valley.

Day 03 – Cortez – Monument Valley – Grand Canyon National Park (Arizona)

Breakfast at hotel and departure to Kayenta, a small town in the heart of Navajoland on the vast desert spaces that represent the very emblem of the American Southwest Navajo Indians live. Discorering Monument Valley, with its red giant monoliths that plays with the sun, John Ford described the valley as the most wonderful valleys of the American West.

Visit the valley to special vehicles, led by the Navajo Indians

Lunch: BBQ specialties Navajo Indians in the heart of the valley

Continue on to the Grand Canyon National Park that extends over 4,000 kms and an average width of 14 Kms was dug in sedimentary layers over 1.5 km thick in all the erosive forces that nature can together : heat, cold, ice, sand, roots, earthquakes and gravity. At sunrise and sunset, the light illuminates the nearly horizontal layers of green, blue, pink, red orange and white and offers a most extraordinary spectacle.

Day 04 – Grand Canyon – Page (Arizona)

Breakfast at the hotel and visit the Grand Canyon National Park- Mather Point, particularly spectacular – Grand Canyon Village, located 2090 meters above sea level – Yavapai Viewpoint – Desert View is certainly the most photographed place in the Grand Canyon.

And continuing to Page and the Glen Canyon Recreation Area, crossing the Colorado River. The canyons, deserts and spectacular cliffs that you pass on the huge Navajo Reservation are sure, another highlight of this trip. The lake was created in 1956 with the construction of Glen Canyon Dam, a dam that turned into a surreal seascape Canyon which had been hitherto the sole architect of nature! Stop at Carl Hayden Visitor Center, beautiful model of Glen Canyon Dam. The dam provides electricity to 1.5 million users in 5 states.

Arrival in the city of Page.

Dinner: Steakhouse with western atmosphere

Day 5 – Page – Bryce Canyon National Park – Kanab (Utah)

Breakfast at the hotel then head Bryce Canyon National Park, probably the most surprising and most beautiful of all U.S. National Parks.

This park contains a wonderful range of rocky pinnacles, arches in a palette of pink, yellow and brown. These fine needles are the result of the work of erosion on limestone rocks for millions of years.

Sunrise and Sunset Point: beautiful view of the needle and the towers of stone amphitheater – Inspiration Point: excellent view of the rocky peaks, denser. 3 observatories were built, the last one embraces the entire park.

Lunch: Ruby’s Buffet – Bryce City

Check in Kanab, village passing nicknamed “The Little Hollywood”, in fact many movies were filmed there including Planet of the Apes.

Diner: Chuckwagon Cookout with a cowboy movie show.

Accommodation: Parry Lodge – Kanab or similar

Day 6 – Kanab – St George – Las Vegas (Nevada)

Breakfast and departure towards the most amazing city in the United States: Las Vegas.

Crossing St George and stop in front of the Mormon Temple.

Lunch: Golden Corral Buffet – St George

Arrival in Las Vegas, located in the Mojave Desert, the city is more artificial in the middle of nowhere. Las Vegas is the kingdom of players. Las Vegas is not a city that visit, he must dive into the frenzied atmosphere there day and night. Casinos, focused on the main street: The Strip crazier than others with their thrilling rides and neon waterfalls attract visitors from the world.

Day 8 – Las Vegas – Los Angeles (California)

Breakfast at the hotel then head to Los Angeles through a portion of the Mojave Desert and arrived in Los Angeles.

Lunch at the Farmers Market, a covered market, created by farmers during the Great Depression, today’s showcase California food production.

Base for exploring the beaches of Los Angeles. Between the ocean and the San Gabriel Mountains, the city blends with the surrounding communities and the coastal fringe is fully dedicated to the cult of the body and leisure that our eyes California - Venice, small resort and real “bohemian city” - Santa Monica, industrial city and its main resort of Los Angeles.

Day 9 – Los Angeles

Breakfast at the hotel and explore the city of Los Angeles – Downtown LA It is seen from afar, bristling with futuristic towers that appear in many television series – Olvera Street, First Street Los Angeles, very short, only 100 meters, aligned with stalls of Mexican crafts. - Union Station, one of the finest stations in the United States – with its Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame held its pink carpet on which stars the names of stars are recorded in letters of bronze - Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

Arrival at Universal Studio and lunch.

Departure for Beverly Hills, despite its size of only 15 Kms2, the city of Beverly Hills enjoys immense prestige in the world.

Check on the legendary Sunset Boulevard, sometimes described as the shortest path between heaven and hell. 40km long, it passes through the upscale neighborhoods of Beverly Hills and is lost in the slums of Los Angeles – Sunset Plaza, with its café terraces in the European Community and its famous restaurants is one of the highlights of life night of Los Angeles.

Day 10 – Los Angeles – San Francisco

Breakfast to go according to the time of departure

Transfer to the Los Angeles airport for the flight to San Francisco - (flight not included)

Arrival at the airport in San Francisco, built on 43 hills is the city is the most beautiful in the world of all those built on a bay. Its mild climate, its elegant Victorian and modern architecture and its bustling economic activities are the cultural and economic hub of a large geographical area ranging from Alaska to Mexico and the western United States to Oceania and Asia.

Departure by coach for a guided exploration of the city of San Francisco - The Civic Center with: - City Hall – The Financial District – Jackson Square – Bank Of America – Wells Fargo Bank with two rooms open to the public where you can admire a coach in 1867 exhibition – the Transamerica Pyramid – St. Mary’s Cathedral – Castro “gay” district of San Francisco – Lombard Street – the Golden Gate Park

Lunch: Restaurant – San Francisco

Free time to explore the city by yourself

Small walking tour to discover Chinatown is the largest Chinatown outside of Asia.

Dinner: Chinese specialties in the heart of Chinatown

Day 11 – San Francisco – Sausalito – San Francisco

Breakfast at hotel and departure for the discovery of Sausalito.

Crossing the famous Golden Gate Bridge, built between 1933 and 1937 by Joseph Strauss, was a challenge that seemed impossible to overcome.

Arrival in Sausalito, a very small residential locality, built in the hillside, facing the Bay of San Francisco. Main Street Bridgeway stretches along the water and is lined with luxury boutiques, crafts, cafes and restaurants with a terrace.

Back to Ferry crossing the bay of San Francisco, nice view of Alcatraz Island.

Arrival at Pier 39 – Fisherman’s Wharf is the mecca of tourism.

Free afternoon

Back at the hotel with a ticket for the tram in San Francisco – the “F Line Tramway”

Diner: Restaurant with ambiance Jazz

Day 12 – San Francisco – Return to Home

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to the International Airport for your flight home.
